Different maps give different locations for the exact start of the Great Ocean Road, but we consider it to be Bay of Islands, which was a stunning location.
Having settled into our room at Port Campbell (the nicest so far without doubt and the most expensive) we set out to see the sunset at 12 Apostles (now only 8, as 4 have collapsed). Apparently they were originally known as the Sow and Piglets.
Unfortunately the sunset never quite happened, but neither did the hordes of tourists we'd been expecting; there were a fair few but they kept moving along so were no trouble to us. I found though that if they do get too annoying, all you need to do is pretend to sneeze and mutter Wuhan and they disperse very quickly.
It was however still very windy and rather cold.
In my mind I'd imagined taking all sorts of wonderful landscapes with long exposures and filters, but in truth I was just too tired so I simply took more snaps!
